Banks Chevrolet to Host Blood Drive for the American Red Cross

Banks Chevrolet will be hosting an American Red Cross Blood Drive on April 24, 2014 from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Donations make it possible for the Red Cross to provide blood for patients in nearly 3,000 hospitals across the United States. Help save lives by donating your blood to the American Red Cross at the dealership, located at 137 Manchester St., Concord, NH 03301.

This is the first time Banks Chevrolet has ever hosted a Blood Drive but they are expecting a great turnout from the community. Banks Chevrolet will be offering a free "wash and vacuum " service to anyone who donates blood on that day, as well as a $10 service coupon. Furthermore, Subway will be offering a free 6" sub to anyone who donates blood on that day.

Banks Chevrolet service manager Rick Gauthier has been spearheading the event planning. Always charitable and active in his community, Gauthier became inspired when he heard the story of Jacqueline Rogers back in January. "I was watching the news one morning and I saw a story about an 8 year old girl from Boston," says Gauthier. "She was scheduled to go in for life saving heart surgery, and the parents got a phone call on the way to the surgery and were turned around because the hospital was low on blood. That made me want to go donate some blood." Gauthier continues, "At that point I figure we have over a hundred employees and thousands of great customers, so we could make a big impact." More information about Jacqueline Rogers is available at this link.

"We hope for, and are preparing for a large crowd at this event," said Brad Solomon, Customer Care Manager at Banks. "We encourage those who live in Concord and surrounding areas to come participate in this worthy cause."

Should I Wait for President's Day to Buy My New Chevy?

Every year, President’s Day Deals give buyers a great reason to go out and find the car they have been looking for. President’s Day weekend (and week… and month) usually features great rebates, great interest rates and significant dealer discounts in order to win customers and start the selling season off right. It’s a very exciting time and motivates many customers (and dealers) to make deals happen! But should you wait for the President’s Day hype to buy your new Chevy? Here are three reasons not to wait:

1) Banks Chevy NH prices inventory super-aggressively EVERY DAY. In order to start the year off right, we’re offering huge discounts on all new GM models right now and always. There’s really no need to wait for President’s Day when Banks is offering deals on Chevy Trucks like these ones right now. Or, if you’re more interested in GMC Trucks, check out the prices on these 2014 GMC Sierra half ton trucks. Other dealers might wait for President’s Day to deeply discount their new cars, but Banks Chevy NH does not. If you want to get the absolute lowest price available on any car in our extensive inventory, just call us now or e-mail us. Our pricing will be competitive now and always.

2) GM is incentivizing customers to buy now instead of waiting. On January 3rd, General Motors announced new Owner Loyalty Cash available on most new Chevrolet, GMC and Buick vehicles. Additionally, customers are eligible for trade bonus cash, and extra rebates depending on the type of vehicle they’re thinking of buying. For instance, the 2014 GMC Sierra half ton now offers $4500 in rebates for certain packages plus additional rebates for recent college graduates and USAA members. While the President’s Day deals might be slightly more lucrative than the current rebates, they also might not be. Click here to see the great deals going on right now.

3) Inventory is limited. Many dealers are completely out of 2013 vehicles. While Banks Chevy NH has some 2013’s left, there are very few and they are disappearing fast. By February, most of these vehicles will be gone and customers will be unable to take advantage of the already substantial incentives available on leftover 2013 models. Furthermore, some of our 2014 inventory is in short supply because of new models set to come on the market soon. The Chevy Silverado HD will be completely redesigned later in 2014 and NH Chevy Dealers are unable to order any additional 2014 inventory until the new 2015 body style comes out. The same goes for the GMC Sierra HD – the 2015 GMC Sierra HD will be completely redesigned. Therefore, if you’re waiting for President’s Day to make your move on one of these trucks, you might want to reconsider as inventory will be far more limited.

Maybe the most important reason of all: Do you really want to go another month without a great new car? If not, call us or e-mail us. You’ll receive a quick, no obligation price quote from one of our internet representatives. Otherwise, we will certainly be here on President’s Day weekend, passing along the great savings that you’ve come to expect from Banks Chevy NH.

Employee Spotlight: Allison Woods

Allison Woods just celebrated her 2 year anniversary here with Banks Chevrolet. Prior to joining Banks, Allison was managing an irrigation company in Henniker, NH and decided to make a career change into the automotive industry. Allison is a senior customer care representative here at Banks and we are incredibly lucky to have her.

How did you get the job here? The irrigation company I was working for was doing work for Banks. When I decided I wanted to make a career change, my boss at Blue Sky Irrigation called Bill Jasak (General Manager of Banks Chevrolet) and apparently gave me a great recommendation. So here I am!

What is your favorite memory of Banks Chevrolet? When I first started working here, training with Tim Sattler and learning about all the different vehicles. I really liked driving them all. That’s tied with August 2012 when Banks paid for all of the people in Customer Care to have dinner at O’s. They took care of everything. They were showing their appreciation for us by sending us out on an all expenses paid night on the town. Limo and everything.

What do you like most about your job? I like how fast paced it is and just that our department is so laid-back. It’s an easy place to work.

Favorite thing to do in NH? Skydiving. I’m a thrill seeker. I like roller coasters, zip lining, whitewater rafting… that type of stuff. I really like Alpine Adventures in North Lincoln NH… it is a great location for a day trip and has really beautiful scenery when you’re 500 feet above the treetops!

What are your hobbies? Kayaking, and I do a lot of cooking and baking. Someday I want to be on cupcake wars. And I’m kind of obsessed with my dog (although technically, it’s my roommate’s dog). I also like 3D movies like the Great Gatsby and Avatar. And of course, Boston Sports.

Favorite meal? Macaroni and cheese is my favorite meal to eat, and my favorite meal to cook is salmon.

Favorite childhood memory? Probably when I went to Disney World for Christmas when I was 9. The Christmas Day Parade was awesome.

Three words to describe you? Energetic, Funny, and Personable

Favorite Quote? “If you go on doing what you’ve always done, you’ll keep on getting what you have always gotten.” Oh, and also, “Winning!!”
